Good morning!
Neon Green. That is the colour of my insides right now- so awesome!
I made another green monster today sans fruit…the only ingredients were Almond Breeze and Greens. Oh yes, I went hard core! Surprisingly, the taste wasn’t even bitter. It had a nice milk-like taste to it. And man was it neon green.
The loot:
- 1 1/3 cup Original Almond Breeze
- 2 organic kale leaves
- 1 handful baby organic spinach
Just look at that!
My body felt euphoric after drinking this sweet drink. No joke! These green drinks honestly make my insides dance and my heart smile.
I will likely be hungry very soon and will probably have some Spelt cereal to tie me over til lunch.
Oh, and I think I jinxed the flowers….I looked at them this morning and half of them had shriveled up and died. Oh well I can’t complain, we got a MONTH out of those ’10 day’ flowers!

Ok enough weirdness….now onto 2 more Glo Bakery reveals!!!
I baked these up yesterday:
Glo-berry Pecan Thumbprint Cookies
And a toasted coconut version (my preference)
Glo-berry Coconut Thumbprint Cookies
They were AMAZING and wholesome.
I can’t wait to reveal my bakery to the world!

Injury Update
The past week I have been crawling in my skin I have been so antsy to exercise. Instead of getting easier, it has felt harder the past week or so.
I am really getting sick of this! I have lost muscle tone since I stopped working out Jan 13th. I feel like all the progress I made has gone down the drains and that is really hard to deal with.
My bone scan is next Wednesday. Apparently I go in, get injected with something, leave for 2 hours, then come back and the bone scan takes 1.5 hours!!! Sounds like a fun day! If anyone has been through a bone scan before would you might shooting me a quick comment or email and tell me a bit about the process? Will I be in discomfort? I am just a bit anxious about it all…
I am going to try some light walking on the treadmill this morning and will stop at any sign of discomfort. Hopefully it goes well….wish me luck! I have to go dust the ‘walking’ beast off…poor thing has been abandoned!

See you this afternoon! Have a great start to your weekend!
If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity, it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, “I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.”

smoothie looks great! i’m glad to hear you are hitting the treadmill for some light exercise! are you able to do upper body exercises? weights while seated or anything? i just thought that this might help you maintain some muscle while injured.

I had a bone scan done about a year ago for some knee/tibia issues. Don’t stress at all! They inject the dye with a really small needle, you go home, come back and you just lay there while they scan you. Honestly, not bad at all! BTW your baked goods look wonderful, I would buy them!

Hi Angela! I’ve never had a bone scan personally but I will be a nurse in two months so I know about the procedure! Basically they are going to inject a substance into one of your veins (Like if they were going to draw blood or something) and the substance is attracted to any problems in your bones. You will probably be asked to drink a lot of water after you have been injected, and will have to pee right before the x-ray. Then you will lay down on a table and a camera will be positioned above you and will move around and take pictures. It shouldn’t hurt..the only thing that could hurt is the needle, but that would be just a prick as if you were donating blood. The reason why you have to wait a few hours is because it takes a while for the substance from the injection to bind with your bones! I hope this all makes sense haha if you have any questions feel free to email me! ajbonnell@yahoo.com

Way to go on the all-green smoothie! For the past few days I’ve been adding spinach to my smoothies thanks to you- and I can’t believe how good it is! Maybe one day I’ll be to all-green… maybe
Sorry about the no-exercise situation. I’m in a similar place with my shin splints although I can do some things. But it’s tough! With your dedication I’m sure you’ll have no problem jumping right back in when you heal.
Happy Saturday
Have fun with those ceilings!

Good luck with the scan! I’m not sure if I’ve had a bone scan, but I’ve had several various types of scans with/without dyes/air/other contrast agents and non of them were too bad. At the worst, a bit boring while the images are being collected, and at best, really interesting because you can see the images on the screen as the camera moves around. All in all, the procedure itself shouldn’t be anything to get too worked up about.
Have you thought about doing light upper-body exercise (weights, pull-ups, push-ups, etc) that wouldn’t put too much pressure on your pelvis? I know how frustrating it is to be injured – I hope you’re all healed soon!

Not being able to work out can be really tough; looks like you’re handling it pretty well, all things considered. I hope you get some more answers soon.

Your green smoothie sounds so FUN and DELISH! They make my insides all happy and glow-y, too.
Regarding muscle tone loss, etc… once you get back to working out, it should all come back lickety split. No worries.
Love the pics!!!
Cheers,
Kristen
